HMC ITP Exam Preparation Program 2026: Extending a Successful Journey of Free Professional Learning

At Hossain Mumlook & Co., Chartered Accountants (HMC), we believe that professional knowledge becomes more meaningful when it is shared. With this belief, HMC has continued to create learning opportunities that extend beyond its own students and team members, supporting aspiring professionals across the country.

One such initiative is the HMC ITP Exam Preparation Program, which began as a small online learning initiative and has now developed into a successful platform for free professional education.

From One Free Online Class to a Full Learning Programme

Ahead of the ITP examination in 2025, HMC organized an online free preparation class to support candidates in their examination preparation. The session was conducted by the Lead of HMC's Tax Department and was open to both HMC students and external participants.

The response to that initiative was encouraging.

Following the 2025 session, many participants and other aspiring ITP candidates expressed their interest in having a more structured preparation programme before the next examination. Their interest and feedback encouraged HMC to take the initiative further.

As a result, the responsibility for organizing the 2026 ITP Exam Preparation Program was taken forward by the VAT & Tax Team of HMC.

A Structured 15-Session Free Programme

In 2026, HMC transformed the earlier initiative into a comprehensive 15-session online free preparation programme.

The programme attracted registrations from candidates across different districts and regions of Bangladesh. Nearly 100 participants registered for the programme, reflecting significant interest in accessible and structured preparation for the ITP examination.

Of these, 66 participants continued and completed the programme, demonstrating a strong level of commitment and consistency throughout the learning journey.

The programme was designed to provide participants with focused preparation, practical understanding, and professional guidance through an online learning environment—making the sessions accessible to candidates regardless of their location.

Learning from Experienced Professionals and Academicians

The programme brought together experienced professionals and academicians to share their knowledge and perspectives with the participants.

The sessions were conducted by:

  • Md. Aminur Rahaman

  • Prof. Dr. Nikhil Chandra Shil, FCMA

  • Md. Mumlook Hossain, FCMA, FCA

  • Mr. Samir Chandra Sutradhar

Their contributions brought together different dimensions of ITP preparation, including professional experience, academic understanding, practical knowledge, and examination-focused guidance.

For the participants, the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals and academics added significant value to the programme.

More Than Exam Preparation

Although the programme was designed primarily to support candidates preparing for the ITP examination, HMC viewed the initiative as something broader than examination coaching.

Tax professionals play an important role in the country's tax compliance and revenue ecosystem. Therefore, developing knowledgeable and responsible tax practitioners is important not only for individual career development but also for strengthening the wider tax profession.

Through this initiative, HMC aimed to contribute to the development of professionals who understand the importance of knowledge, ethics, compliance, responsibility, and continuous professional learning.

A Successful HMC Learning Initiative

The 2026 ITP Exam Preparation Program has become one of HMC's successful knowledge-sharing initiatives.

From an initial free online class in 2025 to a structured 15-session programme with nearly 100 registrations and 66 committed participants completing the programme, the journey demonstrates what can happen when professional knowledge is shared with purpose.

More importantly, the initiative was shaped by the participants themselves. Their interest following the 2025 programme encouraged HMC to expand the initiative in 2026, while the commitment of the VAT & Tax Team and the resource persons helped turn that interest into a structured learning programme.

At HMC, we believe that professional excellence grows when knowledge is shared, opportunities are made accessible, and experienced professionals invest in the next generation.

The ITP Exam Preparation Program is one such effort—a small contribution towards creating a stronger, more knowledgeable, and more responsible tax professional community in Bangladesh.

Learn. Prepare. Grow. Contribute.

Together Towards Tomorrow.
