Mr. Md. Mumlook Hossain, a Fellow of both ICAB and ICMAB, is a highly seasoned professional accountant with over 32 years of distinguished experience in audit, assurance, taxation, VAT, and strategic financial management, driven by a deep commitment to excellence, integrity, and nation-building through financial transparency.
Mr. Hossain began his professional journey in 1992 with Howladar Yunus & Co., Chartered Accountants (a member firm of Grant Thornton), and later dedicated 16 years to UBICO—a joint venture between the Governments of Bangladesh and the UAE—where he held pivotal leadership roles including CFO, COO, and Acting CEO, earning trust through vision, integrity, and impactful service.

Naba Krishna Muni FCMA, CMA (UK)
Naba Krishna Muni is a highly accomplished expert in organizational and human development, with over four decades of experience in training, teaching, coaching, mentoring, and managing projects across cooperative, corporate, and NGO sectors. His expertise spans capacity building, financial management, and strategic consulting, making him a trusted advisor for both national and international organizations.
Academically, he was educated and trained in Bangladesh, Canada, the UK, and Thailand. He holds prestigious qualifications such as Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA), CMA (UK), and certifications from ICMAB and CIMA (UK), along with an LLB degree and specialized training credentials including Training of Trainers (TOT) in Teaching Effectiveness from Humber College, Canada.
Professionally, Mr. Muni has worked extensively with development partners and global institutions including USAID, UNDP, UNICEF, WHO, DFID, CIDA, SIDA, AUSAID, and many others. He is an ADB/WB-certified master trainer in microfinance and has delivered consulting and training services in the USA, Thailand, India, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.
Currently, he serves as Director – Capacity Building & Consultancy Services at Hossain Mumlook & Co., where he leads strategic initiatives to strengthen professional competencies and organizational performance through training and consultancy programs.
Nandan Chandra Dey FCMA
Nandan Chandra Dey FCMA, is a seasoned finance and corporate leader with over 27 years of extensive experience in financial management, audit, compliance, procurement, taxation, and corporate governance across government corporations and large private sector groups. His professional journey spans leadership roles in the Power and Energy sector, Garments & Textile industries, Electrical and Electronics companies, Real Estate, Cement industry, and Export-Oriented Shipbuilding industry. He has consistently led financial transformation initiatives, strengthened internal control frameworks, and ensured regulatory compliance in complex organizational environments.
He is a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA) from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB). Academically, he holds an MBA in Accounting & Information Systems from the University of Dhaka and a Master of Commerce in Management from National University. He has also completed various professional trainings on cost audit, transparency and accountability, capital market strategy, enterprise development, and procurement procedures for goods.
Throughout his career, Mr. Dey has held senior positions at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited, Dong Bang Group, Paradise Group, Opex and Sinha Textile Group, Aman Group, Ananda Group, Building Technology & Ideas Ltd., and the Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources (including GTCL, BPDB, and PGCB).
Currently, he serves as Director – Finance & Consultancy at Hossain Mumlook & Co., where he supervises finance, accounting, audit, revenue assurance, and compliance functions, contributing to strategic financial leadership and institutional excellence.
Juthika Roy ACMA
Juthika Roy, ACMA is a finance, accounts, audit, and business development professional with over 10 years of progressive experience across corporate, consulting, donor-funded, and professional services environments. She currently serves as Lead – Business Development & Strategic Partner at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Chartered Accountants (HMC), where she is involved in business development, client engagement, financial advisory, audit and assurance, corporate governance, internal control, and strategic finance initiatives.
During her professional career, Juthika has managed diverse finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, fund management, treasury, taxation, VAT compliance, audit coordination, and regulatory matters. At HMC, she has contributed to multiple audit, tax, VAT, corporate governance, and internal control assignments across various industries.
Alongside her professional career, Juthika is actively engaged with the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) as a faculty member and has served voluntarily in various committees in leadership roles, including Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. She is particularly involved in professional development and empowerment initiatives for members.
Juthika holds the ACMA qualification from ICMAB, is partly qualified in Chartered Accountancy, and holds an MBA in Finance. She is passionate about professional development, leadership, finance, and empowering the next generation of professionals.
Md. Asiful Haque
Mr. Md. Asiful Haque is a finance and assurance professional with over a decade of experience in audit, assurance, taxation, VAT, and advisory services. He has extensive experience in statutory and internal audits, group reporting, interim reviews, factual findings, financial projections, asset and business valuations, and regulatory compliance. He has also worked with various ERP systems and served a diverse portfolio of multinational clients across manufacturing and service sectors in Bangladesh.
Throughout his career, Mr. Haque has worked on engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and applicable Income Tax and VAT laws and regulations. His expertise includes audit planning, risk assessment, internal controls, audit documentation, and Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAAT).
He holds a BBA and MBA in Management from Kabi Nazrul Government College, University of Dhaka, and is a Certified Accounting Professional (CAP) under ICAB. He has also completed various professional and technical training programs in audit, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Currently, Mr. Haque serves as Manager – Operations at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Chartered Accountants (HMC). He oversees professional teams, client engagements, operational and regulatory matters, and contributes to budgeting, financial planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making. His practical approach and strong analytical skills enable him to deliver effective, value-driven solutions that support clients and HMC’s sustainable growth.
Mamun Miah
Mr. Mamun Miah has over eight years of professional experience in audit and assurance services across a wide range of industries in Bangladesh. His portfolio includes power, telecommunications, manufacturing, FMCG, service industries, NGOs, and non-banking financial institutions. He has successfully handled statutory audits, special audits, internal audits, fund audits, factual findings, and stock count verification, with practical experience in ERP systems such as Tally.
He holds a Master of Business Studies (MBS) and a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), both with a major in accounting. In addition, he is partly qualified as a Chartered Accountant under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and has achieved Course Complete (CC) status, further strengthening his professional foundation.
During his career, Mr. Miah has led audit teams in planning and executing full-scope financial audits, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering timely reports to clients, managers, and partners. He has also conducted internal control reviews and compliance audits for multiple entities. His training includes audit methodology, materiality, sampling techniques, and programs organized by ICAB on audit documentation and ISQM implementation.
Since 2016, Mr. Miah has progressed through various roles, from Audit Assistant to his current position as Deputy Manager, Audit and Assurance. In this role, he manages client assignments, supervises audit teams, and contributes to strengthening audit quality and client relationships.
Shohel Rana
Sohel Rana is a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with expertise in administrative management, accounts, procurement, and regulatory compliance. He is adept at streamlining office operations, maintaining accurate records, managing assets, and ensuring adherence to statutory and organizational policies. His strong interpersonal and communication skills enable him to coordinate effectively across departments, facilitate procurement activities, and provide support in compliance matters, making him a valuable asset in finance and administration management.
He completed his B.Com in 2000, CMA Level I in 2001, and CA CC in 2023, and has received professional training in Income Tax, VAT, audit, and English communication. This combination of academic credentials and practical training equips him with both technical knowledge and professional competence to handle complex administrative and accounting responsibilities.
With over 12 years of experience, Sohel has held key roles in various organizations, including Summer Breeze Korea (JV) Ltd., Mumlook Mustaque & Co., J U Ahmed & Co., and currently Hossain Mumlook & Co. He has successfully managed accounts, inventory, documentation, procurement, compliance renewals, and administrative coordination, demonstrating a consistent record of operational excellence.
Currently, as Manager, Accounts & Admin at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Sohel oversees document tracking, office assets, procurement, and compliance processes, ensuring smooth administrative operations and contributing to organizational efficiency and governance.
Mahbub Alam ACMA
Mr. Mahbub Alam is a finance and accounting professional with nearly six years of experience across diverse industries. Since August 2023, he has been serving as Audit Supervisor at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Chartered Accountants, where he is responsible for audit planning, fieldwork supervision, and reporting in line with applicable standards and client-specific requirements.
Before joining HMC, Mr. Alam served as Manager – Finance and Admin at Hellotask Platform Ltd., where he managed financial operations, developed strategic business plans, and ensured regulatory compliance. Earlier, he worked as Manager – Accounts at IIDFC Capital Ltd., specializing in corporate advisory services for IPOs and QIOs as well as financial due diligence for capital raising.
From 2021 to 2023, he held the position of Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance at Thermax Yarn Dyed Fabrics Ltd., where he managed profit and loss statements, cash flow, and inter-company reconciliations.
Mr. Alam is an Associate Cost & Management Accountant (ACMA) and a certified Income Tax Practitioner (ITP), recognized by the National Board of Revenue. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Management from United International University.

Mst. Fency Ara ACMA
Mst. Fency Ara ACMA, is a finance and cost management professional with over five years of experience in accounting, budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting. Since 12 October 2024, she has been serving in the Audit and Tax Department at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Chartered Accountants, where she is involved in audit assignments, tax and VAT compliance, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting in line with IAS, IFRS, BCAS, and relevant laws.
Prior to joining HMC, Ms. Fency worked as Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance (Cost & Budget) at Partex Star Group (Danish Condensed Milk Ltd.) from January 2019 to October 2024. In this role, she was responsible for new product costing, standard and actual cost analysis, budget preparation, variance analysis, feasibility studies, landed cost calculation, and plant-wise profitability reporting. She also prepared financial statements, conducted ratio and CVP analysis, implemented budgetary control systems, and supported tax and VAT compliance processes using Oracle ERP.
Ms. Fency is an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB). She holds MBS and BBS degrees in Management from National University. She is a recipient of the “Ruhul Quddus” Scholarship from ICMAB and actively serves as a Member of the Women Affairs Committee (National Council) of ICMAB.
Md. Aminur Rahaman VC, ITP
Md. Aminur Rahaman, VC, ITP is a VAT, Tax, and Customs professional with over six years of practical experience in regulatory compliance, audit handling, and advisory services. He is currently serving as Assistant Manager – VAT & Customs at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Chartered Accountants (HMC), where he manages VAT, tax, and customs-related engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
In his current role, Aminur handles VAT and tax compliance, preparation and submission of Mushak returns, VAT registration, refunds, exemptions, withholding tax returns, and regulatory correspondence. He also represents clients before relevant VAT and Tax authorities, including the Commissioner, Commissioner (Appeal), VAT Intelligence, Deputy Commissioner of Taxes, and the Customs, Excise & VAT Appellate Tribunal. His responsibilities include responding to audit observations, supporting tax and VAT assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Before joining HMC, he worked as Senior Executive – VAT & Tax at Tradesworth Group and Executive – Accounts, VAT & Tax at Taxsense Limited, where he developed strong practical expertise in corporate VAT, income tax, customs matters, and regulatory compliance.
Aminur is an NBR-certified VAT Consultant (VC) and a licensed Income Tax Practitioner (ITP). He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in VAT, Income Tax & Customs Management (VICM). With his strong technical knowledge, practical experience, and compliance-focused approach, he provides effective regulatory support and practical, client-focused solutions.
Moniruzzaman
Moniruzzaman is a tax and accounting professional with hands-on experience in taxation, VAT, audit support, and financial reporting. He is currently serving as Senior Supervisor (Tax & VAT) at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Chartered Accountants, where he is involved in tax computation, return filing, VAT compliance, and supporting audit assignments.
He completed his Chartered Accountancy (CA–CC) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and has worked with Khan Ayub, Chartered Accountants, where he progressed through roles in tax and assurance. His experience includes preparation of financial statements in compliance with IAS, IFRS, and ISA, income tax assessment, TDS/VDS challans, and client coordination.
Moniruzzaman also holds an MBA and BBA in Business Administration and is a certified Income Tax Practitioner (ITP). Known for his strong administrative skills, attention to compliance, and effective communication, he brings reliability and discipline to professional engagements.
Firoz Ahmad ITP
Firoz Ahmad is a motivated Tax and VAT professional with practical experience in income tax, VAT compliance, audit, and corporate taxation. Currently serving as Assistant Supervisor – Tax & VAT at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Chartered Accountants (since September 2023), he is actively involved in managing tax assessment processes, attending tax hearings, calculating TDS and VDS, and preparing corporate and individual income tax returns. He also prepares monthly withholding tax returns (WTR) and VAT returns, ensuring compliance with the Income Tax Act and VAT & SD Act of Bangladesh.

Badon Jengcham
Md. Badon Jengcham is an Audit, Tax, and VAT professional currently serving as Assistant Supervisor at Hossain Mumlook & Co., Chartered Accountants. He has completed the Certificate Level of Chartered Accountancy under ICAB and is currently at the Professional Level. He also holds an MBA and BBA in Accounting.
He has solid experience in statutory audit support, financial statement preparation, income tax and VAT compliance, and internal control evaluation. He has successfully handled 200+ tax and withholding returns with strong on-time compliance and contributed to audit engagements in line with IFRS and IAS standards.

Achya Khatun
Achya Khatun is an HR professional with over five years of experience in human resources, recruitment, employee relations, and office administration. Since February 2026, she has been serving as Executive – People & Culture at Hossain Mumlook & Co. (HMC), Chartered Accountants, where she supports talent acquisition, employee onboarding, HR operations, performance management, employee engagement, policy implementation, and learning and development initiatives. Currently serving as Head of Accounts & Finance at a leading pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh, he oversees financial reporting, budgeting, financial planning, management reporting, internal controls, compliance, and strategic financial management. Dr. Nikhil Chandra Shil, FCMA
Dr. Nikhil Chandra Shil, FCMA is an Academic Affiliate of Hossain Mumlook & Co. (HMC) and a distinguished academician in the field of accounting and finance. He currently serves as a Professor at East West University (EWU). Prior to joining EWU, he held academic positions at American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) and Daffodil International University (DIU). He has also contributed as a guest lecturer at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB).
Dr. Shil completed his BBA and MBA, majoring in Accounting and Information Systems, from the University of Dhaka, where he also earned his PhD in the same discipline. He is a Fellow Member of ICMAB, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK, and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. Mohammad Anwarul Karim, FCA, CPA (USA)
Mohammad Anwarul Karim, FCA, CPA (USA) is an Affiliate of Hossain Mumlook & Co. (HMC) and a highly accomplished professional in the field of financial reporting and standard setting. Since July 2018, he has been leading the Standard Setting Division of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), Bangladesh. In this capacity, he has played a pivotal role in developing a comprehensive five-tier financial reporting framework and establishing standards for public sector entities, supporting their transition from cash-based accounting to accrual-based International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
Mr. Karim chairs several standard-setting working groups and technical committees within the FRC and actively engages with international and regional standard-setting bodies as a key liaison, contributing to the alignment of Bangladesh’s reporting framework with global best practices.
Prior to joining the FRC, he gained extensive experience in public accounting, specializing in the design and development of financial reporting systems and the audit of nonprofit organizations in both Bangladesh and the United States. His professional career also includes international assignments in countries such as Tanzania, Uganda, and Tajikistan.
Notably, during 2008–2009, he served as a Professional Standards Consultant in a joint initiative between the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), aimed at achieving full convergence of ICAB’s audit practices and study materials with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
